If so, then you are a very smart person. The Democrats....Lets see. Promote peace and harmony, feed the poor, finances public services, decrease gas prices and restrictions, denounce racism and the acts that follow it. Uh, Democrats are for the people, they have better foreign relationships, excellent businessmenwomen, protect the borders, help real estate, helpprogress in schools. Check the record. No child leftbehind is a disaster..... Democrats are better at security, as they had more police patrol on the streetsof America, and inner cities. Low crime rate always.Once again, check the record. They promote jobsecurity, and social security. Check Clinton's record.Enough said. Oh an uh, Democrats are for women'srights. The question is, are you a Democrat ?Best answer wins.Forget welfare. I come from a state that was virtually out ofthe game, back in the 90's.Until the Democrats got in charge. The stores became full, and the streets filled with manna. Now, wellyou don't wanna know. *Hey, Jacob. Where do you get yourtwisted facts from, FOX NEWS ?That is funny, very funny.

Hm, no I am not a Democrat. When is the last time Dems actually supported half of the stuff you say?I think Democrats and Republicans are drawing partisan lines between us as the American people, and you, sir, are adding to the noise.Who said Republicans are not for all of those things? Heck, I'm all for lower gas prices, but Ethanol is NOT the answer. Last time I checked, too, I have never been a racist. Most Democrats are the ones that are "mean", argumentative, racist, and the ones that stereotype other people.Maybe you should take a look at your party.

Some democrats are asses. Some republicans are asses. If people would start making choices based on each individual candidate instead of what party they represent, or better yet, allow an equal multi party system maybe we'd see some results. Am I a democrat or a republican....no. I'm an American.

LOL. Is this supposed to be a joke. What have they done about gas prices? Nothing. That's the only issue that personally effects me at the moment. They are for open borders. The biggest city's in the U.S. are all run by dems and crime rates are astronomical. Check the record. Denounces racism. They are the ones that promote it..i.e. Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson... And tell me just what right I have that a woman don't... Your logic is complete lunacy..... I guess your just an average everyday libturd....

Uh, the Democrats' idea of national defense during the Cold War was disarmament ("You can't hug your kids with nuclear arms.") Uh, the Democrats are promoting the continuation of racism by nuturing affirmative action; "race-conscious" policies are always going to keep people focused on the superficial. Uh, Democrats are NOT for "the people" being able to politically control the moral environment of their states and communities; they promote the idea that the 14th Amendment is a "growing" thing, which means that the U.S. Supreme Court -- a decidedly un-democratic institution -- gains increasing power to strike down state and local laws which are reflections of the moral views of the people. Try to talk to a Democrat about Judicial Restraint and the only thing they have to say in favor of that is that the Court should not have done what it did in Bush v. Gore. Other than that, Judicial Restraint means, to a Democrat, the terrible phenomenon of "tyranny of the majority." Uh, .... Democrats will "protect the borders" ...? No, Democrats don't even want to HAVE borders.Uh, keep trying.

Am neither Democrat nor Republican, but plan to vote Democratic in the next election...provided they don't nominate someone I have to vote AGAINST. (Would vote for Saddam Hussein's rotting corpse before I'd vote for Hillary Clinton. C'mon, Obama!)I both like and dislike some of the main Democrat ideals. Personally, I don't think anybody in the country should have to pay more than 25% in taxes...no matter how much they make. Democrats do have a good record on fighting racism (except racial discrimination under the guise of "affirmative action"...then it's "wink wink" look the other way.) And if you think the Democrats are in favor of protecting the borders, you've been in Foo-Foo Land for the last twenty years.

No, I am not. I am independent. My choice is because, although the Democrats SAY that those are things they do, what I have seen, especially in the current Congress, is that any attempt to do any of those things has taken a back seat to trying to embarass the adminstration. What a waste!!!Don't worry, I see the problems within the Republican party as well (e.g. ideological inflexibility). But I would caution you to look behind the promises and investigate the actions before you choose a party to define you.

I have always been a democrat but I've voted republican a few times. My question for you is:What is gained by trying to label yourself or anyone? Isn't it just another form of cheap shot "I'm better than you"? Wouldn't the country be better off if we made decisions on each issue by what is best for the country?

I consider myself neither democrat nor republican. I don't believe one's political views should be restricted to one's party. Also, Democrats don't always necessarily promote peace and harmoney. Presidents like Reagen and our current president were elected to pull the U.S. out of wars. Clinton pushed the U.S. into nearly every conflict of the 90's. Just because our current president follows such an extreme policy of foreign intervention, does not mean he properly represents Republicans. Don't be so harsh on the No Child Left Behind act. It is the cumulative effort of both congress and the president that have allowed this act to exist. It was allowed to be reinstated by a democrat-heavy congress. 90% of teachers are qualified, which was a huge increase compared to a lackluster Clinton administration and it has set standards for schools to follow. While it has been underwhelming, it is more because of the country's limited budget. As for the U.S. economy, the only reason why it was so prosperous during the Clinton adminstration was because of Bush Sr. tax increases during his term. He was ultimately defeated because of his tax increases, but the years following ushered the U.S. into its most prosperous years. I'm not saying that the Republicans are better, but remember, just because our current administration and the republican presidential nominees lack the qualities you listed does not mean they represents true republican policy. While it is saddening to see the condition of the republican party, people like Ron Paul are trying to fix it. Ron Paul is very extreme, but he is the only one who truly represents basic, republican standard. I believe that the current adminstration has altered the way republicans act, but once the bushes are gone I believe in a stronger, more reasonable party for years to come.
