i'm trying to figure out why my boyfriend is upset because i told him that i don't have money to pay for disney world when it was his idea to go in the first place. i mean he's getting paid for those days he's taking off and i'm not getting paid for taking time off. he wanted me to spend his vacation with him. but i told him that i'll pay for the hotel room and the gas. and he has to pay for us to get in, the car rental and food. i mean am i being reasonable?should i be expected to pay more when he know i'm broke? ( if this helps any we've been together for 6 years and we have a son together).

he needs to grow up. if you are paying for gas and hotel. he should pay for the tickets to get in.

no he shouldnt be mad. its not like you brought it up or anything. it sounds fair cuz gas and hotel is bound to be expensive.

Yes, you should be mad. He sounds like a little boy who is told he can't play in the play area until his chicken is gone. Geez, he needs to grow up and realize you are not in the same situation he is in. Granted I don't have any room to talk. I am paying money out hand over fist for my boyfriend, and he won't even offer to pay for some gas. <sigh> Good luck!!

He should be paying for the trip period. It was his suggestion and he made it knowing your situation.

He is a complete loser! If he wants you with him, he needs to foot the bill. And to be mad at you really makes him look bad. You should start looking around. I think you can do a lot better than that cheap guy.

We need a serious retrogression into the 18th century, at least when it comes to dating.Guys should be happy to please their woman by taking her out on his own expense - modern society has other guys (I'm more of a traditionalist myself) acting like this and actually EXPECTING to be treated by their women.
