I understand he was the mayor of NYC on 9/11 but how exactly does that make him a hero as some people have put it? Its not like he rushed into the towers and pulled people to safety. Several firefighters and policemen said he did very little in the way of leadership that day. Not to mention that several firefighters may have lived if they didnt have substanderd radios that they had been complaining about for years. And Rudy never did anything about them. So why does he get all this praise? Is this bonehead really the best republicans have to offer to lead this country?

I think he is a bit overrated, but he did turn NY around. He took many people off of welfare, and had many criminals arrested, and made NY a better place, and was also a Republican that won Mayor in New York, that alone is an accomplishment.

He is a very like able guy and he is obviously a good leader. He did wonders for NY and that town is almost all democrats and they still love him. He probably would be a good president but he will be the easiest for Hillary to beat when she starts up a religious right wing third party to split the Republican vote. The tactic worked for her husband and it will probably work for her. Another president elected with 40 percent of the vote. The big problem with presidential politics is that you have to be a glutton for punishment to go against the press and the democrat party. That automatically makes you a target for endless smears and lies.from the press and the Dem's.

He is popular solely due to 911. It is the most oppurtunistic action I've ever witnessed. If those terrible events did not happen while Rudy was running the city, he just would not be near as famous. It would have been the same for whoever was running the city at the time of the attacks.I've heard these other allegations as well: lack of organization and funding before 911. This information insinuates he really is using the event to further his personal agenda. Like before 911, he was all, yeah yeah whatever, i don't care about firemen. And then it happened, and he was like, whoa nows my chance to be popular!Whatever, I don't know too much about this guy, but it won't matter anyhow. I probably will never ever vote for a republican in my life.

rudy giuliani has no qualifications to be president. new yorkers hated him the day before 9/11. all he's running on is 9/11 and some flawed assertions about the democratic party that uninformed voters will believe. he's got nothing working for him. he said that Joe Biden had no foreign policy experience, which is completely and utterly wrong and disrespectful to an american statesman. here's the proof... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxQIAtFxo2gthe truth is that Joe Biden is chairman of the senate foreign relations committee and met face to face with milosevic in bosnia...and when the diplomacy didn't work we worked with NATO and then got a stable region in the Balkans. Joe Biden knows how it's done and is our best choice for president.

If you'll read this link carefully you'll see exactly where Mr. Giuliani & the rest of the top tier candidates get their funding. Funding that BUYS popularity! The bankers & wall street firms, are backing all the Top Teir, doesn't that seem strange, to you?P.S. these are multi-national firms that do extensive business out of the country, does any of this contribution money come from foriegn sources? If it does it is illegal!!!!!*************************************************

His facade of popularity is symptomatic of being a falsefrontrunner. He is fading fast in Iowa and will withdrawfrom that state well before the caucuses. He is supposedto be strong in New Hampshire, but if Huckabee upsetsRomney in Iowa, Huckabee will be the media darling. When Rudy loses in New Hampshire, Sean Hannitywill be seen crying publicly on Fox.

Gulliani, Romney, Dean, Edwards, Clinton, Obama, Thompson all disgust me. I'm not voting. I can't understand why America doesn't have one decent candidate. Are the above the best representatives of what we have? Shouldn't we have the best of the best for President of the U.S. Or, at least a decent candidate. We've got adulterers and druggies and cult members. This is sad!

media has made anyone that has done anythng good turn into some kind of hero type worship. He cheated on his wife too and nobody is saying anything about that. Clinton hasn't lived it down and its been almost 10 years.
