I currently live in western mass....my boyfriend and I are considering moving in a year or so and are currently looking into areas of the country that would work for us- i love the savannah, ga area as well as minneapolis, mn. I am a massage therapist and would like to move somewhere where there would be a high demand for my services as well as good real estate prices for a young couple buying their first home (thinking about buying a duplex). Not interested in moving to far west....anyone have any suggestions on a city/area that would work for us? thanks!

So, anywhere East of the Mississippi is okay? Smile Savannah and Minneapolis are about as different as two cities can be!There are many areas that would be ideal for you, but I'd need a little more info:What does your boyfriend do, and would he be able to transfer within his current job? What sort of interests or hobbies do you have? Are you looking for a change in climate? How much money do you expect to purchase your home for?Etc. etc. etc.I love Savannah-it's a great area, but prices are a little high, and the areas that have duplexes are generally not the nicer areas of town. If you really like that sort of coastal southern city, you might try Wilmington NC. In addition to being somewhat less expensive than Savannah, it has several film and television production companies (If you ever watched 'Dawson's Creek', it was filmed there), plus several colleges and universities while retaining a small town feel.I'll be happy to put you in touch with a Realtor in any area that can give you a 1st person perspective on the places you are interested in.
