Common man is finding it difficult to lead a normal life. Many poor countries are doing good. Countries like India and China are growing very fast. However cost of living in all the countries are going up drastically. Even though the economic growth is helping the countries in eliminating the properties, life is becoming more and more tougher for middle class people. There are finding it difficult to achive the basic needs which was reachable some time before. Real estate costs are shooting up. School fees (education) everywhere is becoming expensive. Salaries are not being raised accordingly. Family people are suffering.Youngsters who finish college are getting good salaires but what they don't realize is that those salaries are not going to go up to meet the demands when they start their family life. dont go in debt, live within your means, do away with unnessesary wants, such as tv, that alone costs up to 100 bucks a month depending on where you live. stop eating out, brown bag it. use public transprtation. dress down, dont drink or smoke. get your cloths at second hand stores. make your kids buy there own toys, cars, computers,ect. grow a garden. there are countless ways to save money and get ahead. i once told my grandfather "hey pops i can save 20% if i go buy these new shoes today" he responded " you can save 100% if you just go barefoot and save your shoe leather for school" think about it. also my motto is if i dont have the cash to pay for it all i dont need it. hang in there life is a beach!

This is going to be an escalating problem because , people today , have on a whole not had to live though a time when money was so short, Most of them buy things on credit and waste more money then some people make in a year, on Interest. They have no concept of Prioritizing, necessities and cutting down on totally materialistic spending. Some of them spend enough money on a fancy wedding ( Generally on credit) to make a down payment on home.and thus start a marriage in debt up to they're eye ball, and it's down hill from there.

the situation that you have described is happening in my country...cost of living is increasing very rapidly and the salaries that ordinary employees get cannot catch up...if they assess their situation, after subtracting the expenses for food, transportation, etc...they take home very little amount of money....and yes...people do get discouraged of marrying and starting a family because of this....but what can we do? we are at the mercy of the country's economy....all the people can do is just try to work harder, get additional income from sidelines (like selling)...those who are braver, have taken the risk of working abroad...that's why you find many of my countrymen spread around the globe...it is indeed a sad plight....
