these social networking sites are a bad idea. They encourage cyber bullying, allow for predatory behaviour to occur unnoticed by all but the select few who can patrol it (and dont say it cant happen, i cracked bebo's administrator rights is less that 10 minutes earlier this year. it was so easy i emailed the moderators to alert them to this and to update their security)These sites are breeding a society that are locked to their internet and computer to the point that they are loosing the powers of speech and social interaction. And finally, I have a facebook page and the profile is locked and contains so little information about me it is untraceable

I use Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ) and Facebook. I guess you can argue just about anything, in the end it probably ends up about even.Have a look at this:http://yuniti.com/parents_guide.phpYou can probably use the negative reasons listed there for your "ban" argument.

"And finally, I have a facebook page and the profile is locked and contains so little information about me it is untraceable"ahh if you only thought that was true!!! haha... you data is entirely traceable! every piece of data is saved on you... your login time, your ip login.. those are just 2 BIG onesthe main argument no one has stated yet is that facebook and myspace collect data using web 2.0 in something called "collective data" and share this information with others. this could be harmful to your safety, and allows others to know who you are, what you do, where you live, how you live, causing a breach in your safety. and yes.. the government most likely taps into this data so they know all more about you. worse then the government, imagine if facebook or myspace sold out! third parties now have that data to harass you by. its now easier for people to find you... pornography! porn is become more visible to minors and corrupting the true intentions of the internet
