| I filed in Nov 06 and am still waiting. Economically we should sell the house and move to separate places. He's planning to get a job out of state and leave the sale to a relocation company. He may not get one though. My lawyer says I should stay in the house until the divorce is final. I just want to go. It is ridiculous to live under the same roof. Only reason I'm staying is that our child is physically disabled and we need child support and spousal support to get settled elsewhere. If it were just me I'd have been gone long ago. I can't leave her with him because he won't take care of her. He hasn't taken care of either of the kids even though we all lived together. He won't open mail from my lawyer, has fired his (too cheap) and is impossible to talk to. There is only one way to talk to him and thats through an attorney. Why does this divorce process take so damned long? No wonder people snap. |

| I know you want out as soon as possible, but you really need to take the lawyer's advice or you might end up getting screwed over. Your lawyer is trying to get you the best scenario for you and the kids. If you can, I would try spending time away from the home, if you are able to move your disabled child to the park or maybe take walks or something. Find something to occupy your time. |
