New to this so I was wondering what webhosting sites would be good for a beginner to try and create a personal website. How do I register a domain name? Which sites would you recommend? How hard is it to design the page? Do webhosting sites offer email? Sorry for all the questions but I just got interested in this. Thanks for any help!

If you want a personal domain name, then I can't help you. But if you want a regular blog, I'd recommend Xanga & Myspace. I absolutely love taking and posting pics, so what I did was to register at Photobucket.com and download Flock, their special internet browser. When I upload picutres onto photobucket, they come up onto this photobar at the top of the page. When I want to post my pictures on my Xanga blog, I just drag the picture form the bar and voila! Instant photo blog! And if you want to do and Img Src. code [HTML] for Myspace comments and stuff like that, they immediately give you the code when you drag the picture. It's kind of hard to explain, you have to dowload and see for yourself. BUT I LOVE IT!If you want to put a lot of pictures instantly on your site, Flock for Photobucket saves you A TON of time. Oh yeah, for free domain names, freeservers.com sucks. It is a REAL PAIN. Do not use that website. Trust me.

Creating a blog site is really easy. Check www.wordpress.com .You can register an account there, but the domain name will look like http://yourname.wordpress.com. If you want your own domain name, you can try any hosting provider that has 'cpanel' with 'fantastico' and then use wordpress there. Cpanel is a web interface for uploading your files & it's really very easy to use. Fantastico is a collection of CMS(Content Management System) & you can install wordpress from there. If your hosting provider does not have fantastico then go to wordpress.org & download wordpress. You will find many tutorials on the net about wordpress installation. You dont need to know php & other stuffs. Wordpress has a large collection of themes & you can download & install them & change them anytime! Check it out. I personally suggest you to first create an account in Wordpress (which is free) & check it out. Then try it for your own domain. Downloadind wordpress is also free.regardsAnupom
