Ok, I have spent the last 15+ years in an office environment. Sedentary roles where I don't get out of my chair often enough and it's starting to make me feel sluggish. What are some suggestions for a whole new career transition where I can do a lot more physical activity. (Not interested in retail / sales, don't mind getting my hands dirty, love the outdoors, don't mind a bit of hard work)I don't have a trade, however I am very conversant with:- Real Estate- Recruitment- Any EA / Secretarial type duties- Copywriting- Editing(I understand that majortiy of these are office environments - boo hoo - just thought you may have some ideas regards transferrable skills).Help get LadyRebecca out of the office!Soory guys, to clarify - I have a real estate licence, just don't want to use it in a sales role. I don't have four years to get a trade qual under my belt. I'm not a trained landscaper or floral artist. Thanks so much for all your suggestions!

Are you a people person? Maybe you could look towards real estate sales? While there is office time you would get to drive around with clients and look at homes much of the time.

Depending on where you live. Check out the local zoo, Biological gardens, Parks and recreation department of your local government, landscaping companies, and get something more physical if yo can find something that will pay the bills.

Maybe you can get outdoors without changing your career path. How about some military reserve service or a volunteer emergency service. I am sure you'll be whipped into shape in no time.

if you want physical, do outdoor things. land scaping being one, doing construction is another. it depends on where you live and what the economy is like there. think of other things that interest, like hobbies and go from there. brain storm and come up with a list of the pros and cons.

Consider teaching--if you don't want to get a credential--givecommunity workshops on various subjects you know enough about to teach.

Ugh, I feel for you. It IS boring to be stuck in an office sitting around all day. I think getting into Real Estate would be especially good for a person like yourself. You would be able to show prospective buyers houses and you'd be on the road a lot. The other job suggestions you listed would unfortunately keep you chained to the office. I personally think getting a Real Estate license would be an excellent idea. You'd have a change of scenery daily. and you'd meet new people. Anyway, it's something to think about. Also...this just struck m my mind. Maybe you could train to be a landscaper?. You'd be outdoors and if you are good with plants, that might be fun. Or maybe having your own home decorating business. Anyway, good luck to you in whatever you choose!

15 yrs are enough to be adjusted in a place but its ok if you cant.Dear you need enough water while sitting on chair to get relaxed.need some walk when free.and if you have some holy book then give some time to that or any other informative books.Use to talk in polite way with your colleagues and make the environment around you as cool as you can.its human psychology that one cannot remains happy from any thing for long time

well jobs are hard to find---keep what you have for security in your life--what you want to do is get something cool and fun to do AFTER work--get a people to people type gig--volunteer at some type of thing with a challenge--at least try--it will make you feel good to try. Life is what you make of it--so make it fun--make it rewarding--join a photo club--learn to do something new--sailing--biking--hiking--work at a zoo on weekends--get a job on a farm---drive a taxi---drive a bus--wash cars---walk dogs for people--start your own club doing something cool and fun with other people. Relax, smile and good luck.
