I want to be an independent person and need a job that will do me a good living.I want to be be involved in the Arts/Entertainment industry.I'm 16 years old,currently taking a photography class.I was thinking about psychology,but I'm sure I want to maintain in the Arts field.My parents tell me if i become a photographer let alone, i may suffer from bank ruptcy what can i do along with this as in study two fields?I'm into Art and computers.I will like to do Web/Graphic Design along with Photography perhaps even something involved with Film.but how can i enjoy all at the same time,is it possible for me to do all?

dude... relax.I make a living as a photographer and so do many other people. Could you try to go it alone and end up failing, yes. Do some people fail, yes. But who cares, go for it.If you are a freelance photographer/graphic designer you can do what you want when you want. Take a few photography clients this month, next month design a few logos or web sites.The nice thing about Art (graphic design, photography) the client cares less about your academic success and more about your portfolio. If i walk into a photographic studio i am not looking for degrees, but i want to see his work and how he has created art.Study what interests you, start getting involved with the people that you want to work with on a local level. If you want to shoot musicians, get with the local band scene. If you like film, get with local film studios. Find out from them what they pay for and what they need.Movies use still photography for covers and advertisements, and who doesnt need a good logo or web design or flyer design? Dont try to find a job because you might/might not fail. Do what you want and enjoy.

Photography courses are for Basic and Intermediate,you should taking up Bachelor of Art (ARPS) or PhD (FRPS) Degree titles in the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) ,as a member only cost at $70.00 London Pound for one year,also learning computer courses like Advance Adobe Photoshop and Mircosoft Frontpage.Be a Photographer won't be bankruptcy,you could be a Photojournalist in Newspaper,magazine,a boss for Studio Lab,etc.

Well time will tell. Do what you love best first. If you hone in on your business skills you will be fine. I think parents are aware that artist jobs are difficult and making a living with them is even more difficult. But what would be a world with just attorney and doctors. I know so many artistic people who left their art behind in the name of money. If you have an artist heart keep up the learning and do your art. These days photography and computers go hand in hand. There is no need to choose. Some say the money is in animation and film. What ever you choose be smart take business classes and most of all respect yourself and keep your copyright.
