My girlfriend went to some realestate website to look for a new apartment to rent. However, when she opended up the website, it was logged on with the user name "Ian". It came to her surprise that somebody might be using our internet. We are using wireless internet through a wireless router. Are there any other ways that we could make this more secure??

The username lan is fine... It's probably just they way the have their website setup... There isn't much possibility of the real estate site hacking your network. Just make sure under port forwarding of your router there isn't any ports listed that you haven't put there. You should be more concerned with your neighbors hacking your network. Make sure you use WPA encryption. WEP is way too easy to crack. That's the most important thing. If some of your devices don't support WPA encryption, then hard-wire them in, and don't open yourself up to the security hole.
