Prices are rising at a slow steady pace here. Our city is growing slowly but at the fastest pace in the state, and this is good for our housing market.

I am in Texas and prices are falling a little, properties are staying on the market a little longer than a year ago and sellers are beginning to offer concessions such as help with closing costs, decorating allowances or down payment assistance.

in jersey, suburbs are steady, and the cities are rising. actually, even during the slump, the urban areas were enjoying a steadiness

I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah. I built a new home in 2001, cost 149,000 to build and landscape property. I sold the home in 2004 for 289,000. Built another identical new one in 2004 for 169,900 and sold it in early 2005 for 294,900. In fall 2005 i built again the same identical house cost was 173,900 and sold it june 2006 for 311,900 and built the same house again for 176,500 and just moved in to it in November. I will place this house on the market in the spring.I've done really good considering i've had contractors do all the work except painting, landscaping. I get offers from companies all the time wanting to buy my house, I could sell the one i'm in right now for $300,000 and have the money the same day. The market in Salt lake city, utah is really hot for new homes.
