Why do notoriously irreligious places like San Francisco, Seattle, and New York drive the American economy?

Population? Maybe the outrageously high taxes imposed on the people in these cities.

those places are not 'irreligious'. there's is churches everwhere in america. i'm not trying to offend anybody by saying this: homosexuals feel like they fit in better in places like san francisco or bigger cities so they all go there and so many nonreligious people are there as well.

Maybe that religiously justifies the scripture passage that states "money is the root of all evil."

They don't. Big business is leaving those places to move to the Bible Belt because they cannot entice qualified people to move their families to those crime-ridden cities.

Because!, You have people from small towns who want to make big money and lead a more exciting life so they converge on a place.. A city..if you will, No matter how smart or their beliefs or creativity level this is where they go. Companies See this and want the smart productive people so they too flock to where the excitement and creativity is thus a chain reation occurs those companies then drive economy, its a visouc cycle that i love

How sure are you that those places are irreligious? And why would you assume that Religion and Economics are really tied in.

I don't agree with your precluded notion in question that these places are irreligious or that they are driving the Amer. economy. There are hundreds of other large metropolitan areas that drive to OVERALL economy of our nation.I do know that I once dropped my wallet in Seattle and had to kick it to Oregan before I picked it up.......
