Eric and Mel although they are married lived in two separete houses a block apart. Eric was in real estate. He had meetings all the time and used to entertain clients who wanted to purchase commercial real estate. He ALWAYS parked his car in the driveway. Well one day Mel (his wife) was driving by and noticed his car not in the driveway all day. Eric called her and said a client was flying in that night to discuss a contract etc. Well Mel noticed a strange SUV parked close to Eric's house. Turns out, the client is a woman and she was at the house (around midnight). Mel knocked on Eric's door (she didn't have a key) and wanted to come in. Eric opened the door and Mel barged in then Eric picked her up and placed her outside the house stating 'she needed to calm down'. She kept knocking and He wouldn't open the door. THis of course made Mel think the worse. Mel continues pounding, Eric kept telling her to 'go home'. And the woman remained quiet.Turns out Eric parked his SUV in the garage (out of the ordinary). The woman remained silent the entire time. If she was his client, why didn't she just say that. And did Eric not let Mel in because he thought she would have kicked both his and the woman's behind...basically stating she is jumping to conclusions? But why not open the door if she is 'just' a client? So, was he afraid Mel would go crazy, or was he cheating?

I think it's weird Eric and Mel live in two separate houses. If they truely loved each other then they wouldn't want to live apart. There lies the problem.

yeah eric is banging his client, if he had nothing to hide he would have told mel the story.. not to mention the suv parked near the house , and not in the driveway

Eric wanting to have an extra house to entertain clients sounds fine, but him wanting to live apart is the first suspicious thing. He can still live with Mel but not live in the other house. Having a "client" over in the middle of the night is a sure sign they're having sex. Mel should have never agreed to having separate living quarters. The third suspicious thing is that Eric never gave Mel an extra key to his house. What more proof do ya need?If eric insists he isnt doing anything illegal, then he can move back to the house mel is in AND give mel the spare key to the other house.

Although it does sound strange that 2 married people live in two separate houses (this could be the ideal situation!!LOL!) she doesn't have enough proof he is cheating. The basis for him not opening the door could have been the fact that she has a type of personality where she flies off the handle and assumes she knows what it going on before she actually does. It very well could have been a professional meeting. I think what it all boils down to is the fact that Eric knew what Mel had for dinner and she was extremely gassy. That's what originally made them live in two different houses. He was probably afraid that his wife would ruin the deal due to her flatulence and scaring the client off.
