| I posted this question in real estate as well.My family owns greenbelt land in Blue Bell Hill, Kent. Is greenbelt land worth anything and is anyone buying this sort of land? We heard some people are willing to buy it as there is growing speculation about future development plans but we live in Australia so we don't hear much news about greenbelt land and we certainly don't want the land. We know that we can build a stable on it if we want but we just want to get rid of it. |

| You can sell it, and there most definately is a demand, especially from the horsey & hobby farming lot, particularly if it is near a city. However, you will not be able to sell it for development, as that is against the law.Any farms / land that is sold off round here always seems to be sold by auction (I'm on the Bristol greenbelt) and I seem to remember here that the going rate is ~£5000 an acre, but it can be several times that in horsey areas. |
