I've tried this with both the latest version of IE and Firefox. Whenever I do a search (or maybe two), I suddenly can't use the internet for the most part. I can access my school email and AIM (not MSN).I asked a friend and he said it had something to do with ports but had no clear answer to solve my problem.

I'm thinking your cache memory might be full of tons of garbage. Delete your files and cookies..
