I started it a year ago as a side job, and tried joining different websites. I've submitted to google, yahoo, msn and dmoz. I've dabbled in Keywords, but still nothing. It's driving me nuts and I don't know how to increase traffic:http://www.risksense101.com

I looked at this site, and I can only tell you that the competition in this space is fierce. It's not just getting traffic--it's getting employers to use the web to find these types of services. Typically, with employee services, websites are used to service existing customers or to educate prospective customers. The problem is that nobody will become a prospective customer by searching the web. They are bombarded by your competitors, and they'll look at their websites only after they know of them some other way--the SHRM trade show, for example. If your website is a sideline, then presumably you're not out there marketing your offerings other ways. And, until your customer thinks of you when he/she's looking to purchase these services, they won't visit your site. I personally doubt that you can make a go of this type of business unless/until you invest more effort than a website.

one problem i see on your site is that it looks too standard. there is nothing about it that spells out UNIQUE. your site needs to be diagnostic (stands out from the rest) so that those who visit it will create a buzz.good websites start off by having good products, services, or ideas. If your site does not measure up to the consumers taste, they will visit it and immediately leave.i recommend that you do something to your site that will create a buzz. get ideas from friends, or ask the question again and get ideas from other yahoo users.hope this helps!

Begin by marketing your services in your area - Chicago. Offer public seminars/dinners about financial management. Do the 'rubber chicken circuit' - offer free mini-seminars to all the local service clubs (Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, Soroptimists, etc. - get this info. from your Chamber of Commerce). Write a weekly or monthly financial/insurance advice column for a local paper. You need to get exposure to your company. Then potential clients will go to your website for additional information. Websites are NOT 'easy marketing tools'. You still have to do solid marketing 101!Buy and read some books on marketing; e.g. anything by Al Reis, Guerrilla Marketing, etc. There are no shortcuts. The only way to sell your services is to EDUCATE people about those services. Your website is only a small piece of your marketing program, and it is a 'back-end' piece; not the lead piece.Best wishes and good luck.P.S. the first sentence in the 3rd paragraph on your website is missing a word.

The products and services that you provide require alot information for people to know about , in fact you need to educate your target audience about the product. In addition to that, to inform people about yourself you need to spend more on Marketing (Advertising ) and P.R. , plus some direct marketing to some special customers will be useful. You should improve the site to reflect a better image of your business...
