What is the meaning of blogging?

The word "blog" is a contraction of "web log". Therefore, to blog means to create web logs on the Internet. Blogs are basically places online for people to express their opinions on virtually anything. Blogs are healthy outlets for people's opinions with the added bonus that they can be shared around the world and without the usual awkwardness that may come with expressing one's views in person. In layman's terms, blogs are online journal or diaries, with the exception that many blogs are public.

If you have never heard of this term before then you are either blind or very inexperienced on the internet. Maybe you have heard of blogging but haven’t a clue what the hell it is. It is very simple, but first let me explain what a blog is. A blog is a website where entries are written in chronological order and often displayed in reverse chronological order. You are actually reading a blog right now. Blogs can be about anything and everything. Some blogs are personal diaries or journals. Other Blogs are more focused on providing helpful information or news.The term blogging is given to the process of adding to and maintaining a blog. As I write this post I am in the process of blogging. Blogging is a great way of collecting links and sharing your thought and opinions online.Blogging is really easy for beginners who want to run their own website. You can start is with minimum skills and knowledge and be publishing to the internet within minutes. Obviously their are thing you need to learn once your comfortable with the process of blogging.

It's kind of like what was said before, an online journal.You put whatever you want, pictures, stories, poems, diary entries.It can be private, public, or friends only.A lot of sites have places where you can blog or are made purely to do so.Myspace and Quizilla have blogging options.LiveJournal and FreeOpenDiary are blogging sites.
