| Go to the website for the state you live in and there should be a list of schools. If not search the internet for schools.Yes, it's a slow period, and the agents that are leaving were agents that either never did well or got in when the business was great. In real estate sales, remember this, there is a difference between selling house and marketing a house. Almost all the agents that are leaving now don't know how to market. It will take you about 6 months to get your license, etc. By then the market may be picking up.I got in the business almost to the day the market started to fall out in the early 90's. I quit my "real" job and started selling. I had my first settlement on the day my 2nd child was born and only made 2,000 the first year. The second year it was 20,000 and it continued to go up. By the end of the 3rd year - which was a very down market, I made $70,000. The best year I have had was last year - $560,000 (net!). This year it will be about $400,000. Homes are still selling and good agents that can market the home are doing well.Good luck. |
