So many questions! We are booked at Blades Hotel. Does anybody know if it is pretty good? It's near our daughter, so that was our reasoning, and it looked "OK" on the website.I am a knitter and weaver and would like to know interesting places to see what is hot amongst textile people. How would you check recommend I this out? I e-mailed I found someone on the web, but she didn't respond. I found a show at the V+A Museum, and we will go. We'll find a way to visit Rowan Knits. We're architects and plan to trek all around to see what's new. Any special suggestions? We want to see the Millenium development of course. Thanks!Ugh, my post got all twisted, but I hope you got the gist! :)Ugh, my post got all twisted, but I hope you got the gist! :)Thank you andyg so much! |

| I would suggest that the Design Museum at Shad Thames, near to London Bridge. It should cater for all your architecty, knitting, weavey needs.Architecture wise, it depends how long it is since you've been to London. If you do go to the Design Museum you could follow it up with a walk along the Thames via Bankside & the South Bank; for example, Tate Modern is, in my opinion, a great exhibit in itself, intelligent use of an existing space. And the Festival Hall has recently undergone a major face lift, which you may also find interesting. As it's Thursday, you could also fit in lunch at Borough Market, "Roast" is pretty good. |
