| Microsoft WordOk, so I am writing a paper and I have a contents page and I did the ......pg. 17 etc but how do I get all of the page numbers lined up together like justified or straight like.....pg1.....pg2as oppose to...pg3.........pg4..pg 5AND IT DOES NOT WORK BY HIGHLIGHTING AND CLICKING JUSTIFIED ...I BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH TABSThanks I will appreciate any help. | Are you using the autogenerated table of contents, that works the best. Set the styles for each of your paper's headings, and then autogenerate the Table of Contents. |

| look inside the ruler at the top of the page. There is an alignment mark you can move around left and right. Highlight all page numbers and move it to where you want. |

| You're talking about leaders and right-tab alignment. Word's Table of Contents really works better, but since you apparently have already done a TOC by hand, try this: (Word XP (2002) and adjacent versions):1.Put a tab character before the text you want on the right-hand side.2.With the cursor in the text, click on the Format->Tabs menu item.3.In the Tab Stop Position text box, put in the width of your line, or wherever you want the right-aligned text to go.4.Select the alignment you want (right).5.Select the leader you want.6.Click OK.That should do it. |
