Mental Road Blocks and the effects of ADD?I write down notes during class and work, have the instructions told to me face to face, study for long hours, and yet afterword I am unabel to remember the informatio, making my life very hard. I have been diagnose with ADD and am on emdications, but it's almost like "when I have all the information giveen to me in a fileing cabnet, somehow the fileing cabnet is knocked over spilling the contents out, leaving me with no way to picking the cabnet back up." Does anyone know of any good studying techniques or ways fo opeopel with ADD to eb able to learn, retain information, and end up making somthing with their life?

Try double reading. I have challenges reading and what I do is read everything twice as I go.Something else that you can try is to relate your reading as you are going. This is more advanced to relate the things that you are reading to something else so that you have 2 ways to recall the information.A third way is to customize your study with the end in mind. What is the point or points of the assignment. What are the standout points that the book is trying to nail down. Write out key points and focus on those as a study guide.A 4th way is to make index cards and practise memorizing important points. Your brain is like a muscle and you can train it to be better at memorizing this way.A 5th way is to relax as you are reading if you are stressed or if your mind is wondering it is difficult to recall. Take deep breaths etc. to keep your anxiety low and this can help recall.
