Yes, the show is my guilty pleasure. I usually don't watch those kind of shows, but it all started when a boy named Jason fell for a girl named Lauren. But anywho.. I realize that some of it must be fabricated.. SO few people have such constantly drama filled lives. However, I know there are a lot of people who believe it's just ALL made up, literally like a soap opera. That's a believable theory when it comes to realty TV. One problem for me, though.. are all these young nobodys REALLY such good actors? To cry like that, and yell and backstab and whatnot.. it all seems very real (I dont mean the situations, necessarily.. like the whole "I'm an events coordinator" thing.. that was kind of strange). I just CAN'T imagine that they could all act so well! Surprised

) So I guess this question isnt exactly about the Hills, but how a show like that, that's said to be completely fake, can have such believable actors, all newbies basically. What do ya'll think?Oh, and BTW, you know I mentioned that this is my guilty pleasure.. so please no comments like, you're moronic for liking that stupid show! Yes, I know I am. Hehe. But I don't care!

yea love the hills i think half of it is real then some parts are just made up by the producers. I also love true life and real world sucks right now. just saying.

MTV: the hills is a good show but my favorite show is MTV: the life of Ryan but anyway back to the hills i think Lauren sometimes makes some situation blow out of proportion and when Heidi and Spencer and Jason and Lauren end up at the exact same restaurant it looks so set up for them to always meet in restaurants and clubs and i know there is so much drama but there has to be our the show would go down the drain.

I love this show!! I used to watch Laguna Beach, But I like this one alot better. I do believe most of this is scripted. I mean damn i dont really know anyone who has this much drama in their lives like these girls. And to have the drama for what 3 years now! I do think some of it is real. But most of it is a setup from the producers.

Ditto: I watch it with my daughter....she has me hooked now. Its like a mini-soap. It is a pointless show...but I love Lauren and Whitney. Spencer needs some injections into his top lip...O...he does not have one. LOL. It really is no different that the regular soaps....just a younger cast.

girl i luv the hills too. but i think its real. heidi too dumb to b that good of an actress and audrinas bf who dont give a what! he is totally foreal . i dont know people always say its fake!!!

I've always loved the Hills. In my line of work I've met several of the "stars" from different MTV shows. Real World, Road Rules, Maui Fever, RW/RR, a lot of the smaller shows that only last a season! Anyways, my point is, after talking with many of them all of the stuff is real...it's just the way MTV edits it. They take bits and pieces from differnt sittuations and put it together to make something look so nasty and terrible. If you ever hear an interview with any of these girls they'll tell you that it's real but they edit the shows to make certain people look better/worse. Love the show though!
