Cars. People need new ones no matter what. If you haven't already been selling homes for 20 years it isn't a great business to get into unless you have another means of support.

Honestly, I think that if you succeed at real estate, you'll make more money, but selling cars would be easier. It's more difficult to get into selling homes, and you'll certainly have to work harder for business in real estate simply because people buy cars more frequently than homes.

Neither. If you notice, most areas have a one year inventory of unsold homes even if no others come on the market. The car dealers are all suffering too. The big ones need to sell 500 cars a month and when that doesn't happen they look at the sales force to try to get the most out of them as possible. Being under such a lot of pressure to sell may be good for improving your sales skills, but if your main concern is making a living at what you do, try to get into some other form of specialty sales such as pharmaceutical items where there is a demonstrated need and demand is less vulnerable to economic swings.

At first you would make more selling cars. I think. I have never tried to sell anything, but it seems like real estate is harder at first. Another thing to consider is that in most areas it is very hard to sell a house right now.On the other hand, at the high end of the market, things may still be fairly good for pre-owned homes. But, you would probably need a lot of experience to do well.I've always thought that women could do well in car sales.

The question is do you want to work 2 years to become a broker and work in real estate for yourself or work under someone else and compete with other people (people who will become your friends) to sell cars. Are you the type of person that likes to take orders from someone else? In real estate 2 to 3 years to be your own boss or Cars taking orders from someone else.
