I read the 3 day policy in the contract and I am considering pulling out of the deal..... for good reason ofcourse. The rate jumped a point when I went into sign and the payments are more than I had expected. And the loan fee's and such came to roughly over 2000.00. Also in the contract it has a prepayment option which I was told was there to get me a better rate however I dont have a good rate Im actual one point away from the highest rate they offer and in 24 months I will be evaluated and given a lower rate if all payments are made on time. Which will not be lower than one point from what they have pffered currently. In the contract it says 3 days but wouldnt that mean 3 operational business days. The company was closed on Thanksgiving and they are not open on Saturdays. I signed this past Tuesday, so wouldnt the 3 days actually be Monday at the approx time I signed on the previous Tuesday. That would be 3 working business days

Just so you know, for rescission purposes, business days include Saturdays, but not Sundays or legal public holidays. The law states that you have to rescind, in writing, before midnight on the 3rd day after all of these 3 events happen.1) You sign the credit contract. 2 ) You receive a Truth in Lending disclosure form containing certain important disclosures about the credit contract. These disclosures explain the key terms of the credit being offered: the annual percentage rate; the finance charge; the amount financed; the total of payments; and the payment schedule. 3 ) You receive two copies of a notice explaining your right to rescind. The first day after all three of the preceeding events occur counts as Day One: You need to rescind in writing before midnight Saturday

You need to sign the rescission papers ASAP and fax them to both the lender AND the attorney or escrow agent that did the settlement (the info should be on the paperwork). Most will include Saturdays and the exact date for rescission should be on your paperwork. That is exactly why the laws exist, because of companies that perform such bait and switch tactics at the last minute.
