| We are waiting for our home loan to be approved from the underwriting office and wondering if I should be concerned about it going to the "senior" underwriter. Are these just steps the bank takes and does he/she make the ultimate decision? How long should I be expected to wait for approval? We summed up all our paperwork on Thursday and it's 4 (business) days later with no word. Our broker said he is just waiting on the approval and would drop them another email to find out. I'm assuming because we are on the "sub prime" cusp, they are taking extra precautions into concideration. I'm getting nervous so any info would be helpful. No wise remarks, please. |

| They should give you a notice within 5 days or so. I wouldn't worry. Usually they know right away if they are not going to approve you so it looks like they are trying to make it work. The officer may have just needed a signature or something waived by the senior mortgage underwriter.good luck. |
