| Go to mychances.net and enter in your info. It will give you a percentage chance of getting in (like 25.3%, 95.4%, or whatever it is). It's free, so it has a few ads, but is a great resource. |

| Your extracurriculars are fine and your GPA is pretty good. But, that SAT is very low for Cornell- you'd be in the bottom quarter of Cornell's accepted pool with that score. The Hotel School is actually pretty competitive, even more so than the university as a whole. Based off the info provided, I'm going to assume that you're Asian and part of the class of 2008, both of which won't help in admissions.I think Cornell would be a reach simply because that SAT score is mediocre. You also need SAT IIs for Cornell. If you can get that score to say, 2100 or so, you'd have a good shot. And mychances.net is worthless. Do it if for laughs and giggles if you want. It said I have more of a shot at Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, and Yale than at Penn. It even said I have a better chance at Washington University in St. Louis than at George Washington University. That's messed up. |
