| At first the title role was given to Vin Diesel, then he was dropped from the project. Then it was offered to Jason Statham from the Transporter. I guess he too turned it down. Then it was offered to Timothy Olyphant which I have never heard of. If either of those two took the role of Hitman, it would have been tailor made for them, since Jason Statham and Vin Diesel walk the walk and talk the talk of a Hitman, plus they look like him too. |

| hmm, i don't think they look like him. I think this new guy actually looks like him more. Plus, i don't think Vin and Jason match hitman role.... |

| Vin Diesel changed his mind about doing the film so that he could do Babylon A.D. instead.http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117957622.html?categoryid=1238&cs=1I know that lots of fans of the video game really liked the idea of Statham playing the role and one fan even made a video where he starred as Agent 47 (check youtube if you want to see it), but I don't think he was ever offered the part for the actual movie before Olyphant was picked. |
