TV is always showing you everything aruond the world from the bad ugly, to the amazingly good. You see people doing amazing things for neighborhoods, etc etc, shining examples of humanity, people looking well dressed, happy, leading these amazing lives, yet in real life around us, you get alot more than not, ho hum attitudes, bah humbug, negativity, and just different conditions.Is TV fake, 100%?It just seems like it spreads false hope and offers a glimpse on how the other half lives, and yet we have to lead our regular lives by comparison, and not just that but,people like Oprah, Dr.Phil, and other television personalities come across as these caring, intellectual, awesome individuals, and people in REAL life are never that kind. So I start to question if it's all a front, and underneath it all they still care about their ratings, money as the bottom line, and what not.Maybe I'm too cynical but real life is just NOT like it's represented on television! At all!

yea! i know some people who have their marbles in their head... but others are just nutcases. i wish everyone was like oprah, dr.p hil, tyra banks etc because the world would be so much better. the talk shows are probably not fabricated in any way because they are talking about issues in people's lives

Because who wants to pay for a magazine or channel that makes them feel like bollocks? TV and magazines are a distraction and clearly there is a demand for a distraction. Is it good for us? Christ, no. But neither are Krispy Kreme donuts and there is a line around the block for them every day. There are many people who know the world is being destroyed and going to hell, but they just don't want to see it. Better to enjoy your last days watching Desperate Housewives and trying Oprah's recipe for blue cheese salad dressing.

yes. once i was on dr. phil show and it was nothing like i imagined... they gave us scripts!!!! and told us how to act omg lol but at least i got paid$$$$. lol Smile rofl
