| My bf wants us to attend this seminar, it's for learning how to do short sales in real estate. Has anyone been to this seminar and is it worth it? I think the price of 850.00 per person is kind of high, and am I just getting ripped off? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! |

| This is a total rip off. Use the $850 to buy books and learn about real estate.Short sales are SIMPLE. The owner of the house talks to their lender and asks what they need to to a short sale. I just saved you $850. |

| Yes it is a rip off. I just quit a job working as a seminar director for an Internet company and all they care about is how much they make per head or ticket sale. They will appear professional and be knowledgeable about what they are talking about. The only thing that matters to them though is how much they make off of this seminar and I guarantee they will have something more to sell you. DO NOT GO!!!! The guys I worked with would laugh about the people they sold too and make fun of them afterwords. The money you pay goes towards the ballroom you meet in, the airfare, hotel, their food and expense money and they get usually 30+ a day. Also the owner of the company and everyone else in between will get something. So save yourself some money and go to the local book store and check it out and buy a book or 2 instead on finances and investments. |

| Save your money. As stated in previous answers they do end up asking for more money as does anyone that offers seminars. We went in 2005 and yes still had to come up with expenses for food, travel, accommodations, etc. Yes you go and they give you a Notebook with all the great things you will need to do short sales but then if you want perks of someone helping you through getting started they charge an additional fee for being one of their students. And they want a healthy amount for that. Get a book or two. Save some cash. The only seminars that we have seen that feed you and pay partial accommodations is the Donna Bauer seminar "The Notebuyer Inc".Still you pay hefty up front to get the perks. So it all evens out about the same.
