I would absolutely buy real estate in this market! Interest rates are still low, there are lots of deals out there and just about everything is negotiable.

absolutely! When the news media get on the bandwagon about bad economy and bad real estate market, eventually all segments are affected. In the area you are interested in try to see if the market is really depressed or if it has just been affected by bad news.Don't by like you are shooting dice, take your time and find the right place for the right price. Good hunting!

I would buy now because I have represented buyer's last month that saved over $40,000 on their home. Based on recent comparables in the same neighborhood. You need to work with an agent who knows how to find good deals. MOST of the homes on the market today ARE NOT deals. When a home goes from $200,000-400,000 then the seller's are willing to drop the price to $380,000 THAT'S NOT A GOOD DEAL!Hope this helpsTerry S.Http://www.Welcome2Arizona.com

I absolutely will not buy in the current market. There were over 7000 single family homes on the market in just this one county last time I checked the numbers. Foreclosures are happening 6-10 each day here. Property values are tanking. I would not buy a depreciating asset.Good deals compared to 2004, perhaps. Homes priced where they should be for the incomes in the area? Not here.

It's a good market to buy now. If you want to buy as an investment, be prepared to keep the property for at least 5 years before you make good money.

Hi,It is a great time to buy real estate. You do have to buy right -- at 70% LTV or less which is very do-able in this market. (I prefer to buy lower, but I am doing short sales.) Also, you are more likely to get owner financing on properties and you can structure the deal to ensure good cashflow for income properties or get an affordable deal for yourself. But you do need to learn your market and learn how to structure deals. You cant jump into this market blind. We are facing another two-three years minimum of foreclosures and the market will continue to decline or hold steady.Best of luck to you.Barbarawww.therealestatebirddog.com

I absolutely would, and I have been. Low prices and historic low interest rates. Its the best of both worlds. I would be buying all you can right now, you will be happy in 7 yrs from now when you hit the payday.

It depends actually. The current real estate market for different types of properties are different. Some of properties are good to buy and some of properties are bad. It depends on its location and other factors. You have to do your own analysis and educate yourself to find good deals.
