| This coming summer(2008) we are going on a family vacation and the real estate agency we are going through suggested travelers insurance. We are driving from PA to the Outer Banks, NC. The rate for it is 6% of the rental price. We just don't see it to be worth the money. Is it wise to get it or can we leave it out? What does it cover? |

| Traveler's insurance for what? And rental price of what? The property you will be renting in NC? The rental car?Travel insurance can be used for many different purposes.Don't get extra insurance for a rental car because if you look at the policy, it says it is considered "excess" insurance and your own car insurance is the "primary" policy. If you mean to insure your travels, then it depends...do you think there may be some reason why your trip will be cancelled and/or interrupted? Some travel insurance pays for interruptions up to a certain amount.See if you can read the terms & conditions of the proposed policy before deciding whether to take it or not. |
