| It is my opinion, as I have stated here before, that this is intended to shore up the stock market more than the housing market. The stock market has invested heavily in hedge funds (reincarnated junk bonds) in the past 2 years and is very concerned about the impact of the subprime mortgage crisis. There is no crisis in the prime mortgage market in most areas of the country. The problem is with subprime mortgages taken out in the past 2-3 years. Do I think it will have an immediate impact? Psychological impact, which is significant in any market. |

| If it is reality it will assist those that are having difficulty paying their house payments. this will have little to no effect on the housing market, the only effect possibile would be less older homes on the market due to less foreclosures. |

| yes he did come out and say something but it was lip service!what he said is that he is asking fha and subprome lenders to loosen guidelines so borrowers facing foreclosure can get refinancing! first of all if you are facing foreclosure your credit is shot! Its bull to shore up wallstreet! the operative words where ASK and GOOD CREDITthe borrowers will get no real help! |

| The people losing their homes is the last thing Bush is concerned about. We have 6 to 13 sheriff sales in our newspaper a week. If greedy banks and mortgage companies weren't allow to deceive people into buying into these outrageous adjustable mortgages this wouldn't happen. It's corporations first with this government |
