I am a real estate agent who is looking for a new advertising media. The talking sign recently caught my attention as something that may be beneficial at my listings. This would allow my prospects to tune in to a radio station in their car while at the home and listen to details about the listing.Has anyone used a product like this? If so how did it work for you?

I would say strictly from a gimmick standpoint it's a really neat idea, the home sellers seem to like it a lot they will sit out there for hours and listen to it on the radio. As for generating leads, the Infoline phone numbers seem to work much better.

I've worked with agents who have used these talking signs and some were happy and others not. Sometimes the Buyers would hear only static when trying to tune in because when the call was setup it wasn't done properly. Other times it attracted more looki-loos because they didn't have to get out of the car so the reports were off slightly. But overall the agents and Realtors were somewhat happy about the results they were getting. Just check up on the service from time to time to make sure it is working properly and that the correct information is given to the right house. That has happened also and almost caused a problem.Since I found a "niche" I've started a new business but am using a "live" service for listing information.

To me, a talking sign is for lazy Realtors. I don't use them, I refuse to use them.I make sure, flyers are always stocked with quality, COLOR pictures of the interior of the home, and every conceivable question they could have about the home, along with my cell number for additional questions.

I've used Talking House for over a year. I sell advertising to Vendors to pay bring me money. I STILL put color brochures out there. In subdivisions where there are a lot of listings, the Talking House makes my listings stand out. (You know, the one with where we listened on the radio about it) I just sold a house to a couple that did that.Sellers love it. It's the best part of my listing presentation. I even downplayed it's effectiveness in the past and still the Sellers were excited about it!It's not cheap however, and not all agents like it, but I utilize it in ways that benefit my company.
