I am having definete money problems right now. My husband and I just bought our first house, and it is such bad timing! It seems like we just keep having bad luck lately....his truck keeps breaking down, and just little things like that. Plus, I am trying to work on my career as a mortgage broker/insurance agent, and its hard because I am just starting out. I figure within three months we will be just fine with money, but I think we need to take out a loan to give us a boost!!We keep getting letters in the mail saying that we are approved, and I am not sure if I should do it or not!!!I really need the money though.....I dont even have any career clothes to wear to work....Im basically wearing the same pants everyday!!AHHH!!

no. i think you'd rather struggle. i know you don't want to end up owing them more money than they'd loan. they charge high rates of interests

Yes, I did and it has helped, as long as you pay extra on your bills so that incase you are not making it like you thought you were you do not have to worry about your bills. If you are going to get a small loan be sure you can make your payments on it.

stick it out without a loan if you can as its easy to get one but harder to pay back seems as though you are paying twice for something. don`t borrow unless you really have to but think seriously before you do

I don't believe taking out a loan is a good option. You will only be putting yourself in more debt. If I were you I would just stick it out. If you have to wear the same pants every day thats what you have to do......just make sure there clean. Good luck.

Nicole dear my advice would be NO if you are not starving or freezing and you only need a couple months DON'T DO IT DEAR! Try instead to work with utilities to put you on a budget plan and check out yard sales or thrift shops for a few things to wear. It just does not sound like a good idea - especially to be tempted by the mailings. Many Credit companies prey on couples like yourself and once you are in it is very difficult to live without their money.Best of luck!

If things will be getting better soon, just try to wait it out. Loans will get you in way over your head with another monthly loan payment plus interest. The letters you get in the mail that say you are "approved" are letters that we ALL get. Once, I got a letter that said I was approved for $1,500.00 and when I called about it they did a credit check and said that I was denied. Another one said that they could loan me $800.00 but when I called about it, they said the best they could do was only $150.00. These letters are usually meaningless. Try to cut corners the best you can. If the truck is a big expense, look into trading it in for a better and cheaper one perhaps. I am sorry, I am in the same boat with you until my job begins in December. Hang in there and please don't take out a loan. You will regret it in the future.

You learn a lot more by struggling a bit. You also appreciate what you have more when you finally get on your feet. Just cut back on your expenses - don't eat out, brown bag your lunch, etc. It's only 3 months!!! You'll make it.

Stay away from the loans and credit cards that state you are pre-approved. They are BAD news.I would suggest to get a line of credit from your mortgage company. That way you pay back only what you use.I am an accountant. I hope this was helpful.

Loans can be helpful at time. But if you really will be fine in 3 months I would try to wait. The amount of interest and the increase in monthly payments may not be worth it. If you were to take out 5,000 your paying 2-5 years paying that back. If you miss payments that effects your credit. So in a year you may look back and be like Why did we even do that. You can always buy clothes at the Good will or Salvation Army. Although not the most stylish you will get good clean appropriate clothes. However if you need the cash bad and your credit says your approved and you get your hubbys car up and working and new clothes plus a nice little lump in the bank for just in case. In 3 - 6 months you can pay it all back and that will help your credit alot. And then you will also feel better now and your confidence will transfer into you career and that is AWESOME! Good Luck

Why don't you and/or your husband get a part-time second job until you get caught up? If you work at a clothing store you'll also get a discount on clothes.
