It is not a contest - normal people love their kids and their dogs - for different reasons and in different ways.As to Leona, I am sure she had her reasons for leaving 2 grandchildren out of her will - she did leave substantial amounts to her other 2 grandchildren.The dog's trust fund is a good idea, many people do that. Leona may have gone overboard, but she left the money in a trust fund and when the dog dies, it all goes to a charitable fund in her and her late husband's name.

i have two dogs and i live with my parents (i am only 14) and i honestly would be insulted if my parents didnt love my dogs as much as they love me. my dogs r a huge part of the family and should be treated like that. i honestly would be insulted

Well my dogs don't talk back near as often and are a lot less demanding most of the time. But overall I guess I would have to say no!!!

OMG. Thats crazy. I mean your kids has a life and needs to live. The dog cant spend the money. Loving your pets more than your kids, thats insane. I say seek mental help. Lol.

maybe the 2 grandchildren had nothing to do with the grandma. At least she died knowing that her dog would be taken care of. It didnt say where the money goes when the dog dies. She was a very strange lady anyway

well chances are that people that are obsessed with their pets don't have kids or their kids are grown up and far away.

I love my kids, I love my dogs. I would not leave anything for my dogs in a will accept a good home, and maybe a little money to take care of them till new owner adjusts. At times both dogs and kids get on my nerves.

I'm certain her Grandchildren have more family money than any of us will ever see. It's not like they are on welfare.My dogs are my family. We don't have children. We are setting up a trust so when we die, our dogs are taken care of until they die. Then our money can go to our neices and nephews. It's our money and we can do what we want with it.I'll put it to you another way. I sent my oldest neice a check for $500.00 her high school graduation. She's the first to graduate and like I said, we don't have kids. We didn't receive a thank you card or even a phone call. Nothing. She just cashed the check and that was it. I talked to my brother and said hey - what's up with that. He said, she's happy about the money... but didn't make her call or write a thank you card. Given that, I'd rather give my money to animal causes.
