| How many grams can a tablespoon hold normally?How many grams is a heaped tablespoon?(the contents only, not the spoon)If you know it as another type of weight, tell me that and i will use it to convert.Also, if you know - is the short way to write tablespoon Tbl or tbl?ThanksOk well I am looking to find how much salt I can fit on there (a heaped TBSP), does anyone have any idea how much that would weigh? |

| The number of grams contained in a tablespoon would depend upon the substance being measured. For example, the Tbsp volume of water would weigh more grams than a Tbsp of oil. Same can be said of flour vs sugar. The correct abbreviation for tablespoon is Tbsp. |

| The weight of the contents of a tablespoon depends on the item. ie, powdered sugar takes up more space, but weighs less than say, brown sugar.The correct abbreviation for tablespoon is Tbsteaspoon is tsp |
