| In the US, it's illegal to use a social security number for any other reason than to deduct taxes or pay out social security benefits.So why isn't the law enforced? |

| They should make it mandatory that all credit cards, check cards,medicaid cards and any other type of plastic require you to have a picture of yourself on the back. |

| The proposed national ID would go a long way in making this crime extremely difficult to commit - but this idea has met with a surprising amount of opposition from people who fear it would be an intrusion of their personal lives. (All of the information needed is already easily accessed data to a great number of government as well as consumer organizations - go figure) |
