Caught the SF Playhouse production of “Freddy & Me,” Sunday night. The one man show written and performed by Bryan White was unique and entertaining. The premise is how Wes Craven’s sequels of the “Freddy Kruger” films affected one man’s personal life and thoughts. The sometime intense but humorous dialog brought memories of Edward Albee (Who’s afraid of Virginia Wolf, The Zoo Story) style. With some audience participation and piano interludes, the 70 minutes show was fun for all. The skillful direction of Nicholas Pappas brought it all together.
