June 14, 2011 in Uncategorized

6-14-11clean.jpgMany lists are put out on what seems like a weekly basis covering every area of city life - best cities for single moms, America’s dirtiest hotels, best cities for writing lists in, top cities for being single, the happiest cities… we could go on and on. This week’s list comes from Travel + Leisure, which ranked the top 20 Dirties Cities. The number one spot went to New Orleans. Did San Francisco make the list? According to the publication, SF ranked in the top ten (of other lists…) for being environmentally friendly and having a great quality of life, but San Francisco is the 12th dirtiest city. The only other California city to make the list was Los Angeles, which came in at number three. [Travel + Leisure]

June 14, 2011 in Uncategorized

Judge Rules Against Same-Sex Marriage Ban; Judge Walker's Ruling Valid Chief Judge Ware has ruled against anti-marriage ilk, throwing out the inane argument that Judge Vaughn Walker’s ruling against Prop 8 was unconstitutional since he is a homosexual.” Their complaints, if you recall, were that Judge Walker’s ruling “should be invalidated based on the fact that he had a bias in the case, being himself a gay man who potentially wanted to be legally married.” [ more › ]
