Deed of Trust- Have the customer service department of Title Company read you the name and address of who signed the Trust Deed, check which county the Notary Acknowledgement was done in.
Fictitious business names or DBA’s- When someone opens a bank account to operate a property, the bank insists they have a DBA to open the account in that property name. To get a DBA you have to apply for, record with the recorders office and publish in a local newspaper 4 weeks in a row your name and the DBA. DBA info can be gotten from the county

Call Vendors: If a building whose owner you can’t track has had a new roof recently, or new phone entry, or new paint job or anything, call that vendor and say “ Hey I’m gettting references for a client can you give me the number of someone you’ve worked for like_____________.”
